Increasingly the veterinary profession is starting to use dedicated emergency centres to provide out of hours emergency cover and after a trial last year we now use Parkwood Vets for our clients. If your pet is an in-patient at the Danetree surgery then they may be transferred to Parkwood so that they can receive all the care and attention that they require.
Several of our clients have now used the emergency centre and have found some distinct advantages:
- Parkwood is easy to find in a well-lit area
- The centre has vets and nurses day and night which means that you can be seen as soon as you arrive, you won’t have to wait in the dark for one of us to meet you.
- When pets have been hospitalised the staff remain with them throughout the night and are not called away to visit other animals off the premises.
Should you have to take your pet to the centre then emergency treatment will be carried out by the centre and you will be referred back to us for follow up treatment on the next working day. Your notes will be faxed through to us at 8am. Should your pet be hospitalised but be fit to move, then we can arrange for them to be transferred back to us or you can opt to have their treatment completed at the centre.

It is easy to find and no-one has got lost but please make sure you have a pencil and paper handy when you ring them.
