On-site surgical facilities

Surgery TableOur surgical suites are equipped to very high standards allowing us to carry out life saving procedures on the spot as well as complex and routine operations. We practice gold standard anaesthesia using the most advanced products such as sevofluorane to keep your pet as safe as possible. All of our vets have recently attended courses in advanced surgical techniques and keep themselves up to date with advances in veterinary surgery.    

On-site diagnostic facilities include:

Laboratory  
MicroscopeBoth practices have a wide range of equipment that allows us to run blood and other tests on site. We can quickly diagnose many conditions and problems enabling us to start the appropriate treatment without delay. The nurses can run pre-operative blood samples immediately before your pet undergoes an anaesthetic to check liver and kidney function and ensure that the best care is given.

X-rays  
are carried out on the premises at both practices providing immediate results, interpretation and care by our veterinary staff.    

Ultrasound  
This allows us to carry out a detailed examination of the heart, liver and other organs without invasive procedures such as biopsy or exploratory surgery. We can also confirm and monitor pregnancies.  

Endoscope  
This is a flexible camera that allows us to examine your pets stomach, bowel and lungs to diagnose many conditions that may be otherwise difficult to detect. We can also use the integral forceps to remove many exciting foreign objects that have been eaten such as Christmas decorations or corn cobs.  

Electrocardiogram  
EquipmentThe ECG produces a trace that represents the electrical activity within the heart so that we can detect, diagnose, treat and monitor any abnormalities.
