Rolf

RolfRolf qualified from Ghent University in Belgium in 1986 and worked in mixed practice before moving to Faringdon in 1989 with his wife Els. Their son, Berend, was born the following year. Rolf was a founding member of the Danetree partnership in 1993 and after being one of the principal farm vets decided to retrain in small animal medicine. After the practice was taken over by Medivet in 2007 he remained the resident vet at Elms Farmhouse in Wantage. In his time off Rolf likes to walk his dog with his son. His other interests are gardening and reading.

Karen

KarenKaren graduated from Glasgow University and worked in farm practice in Wiltshire before joining the practice as the assistant specialising in small animals in October 1993. She became a partner in 1995 and studied for an MBA. In 2007 when the practice was taken over by Medivet Karen reduced her hours in order to spend more time with her family and now works part time at the Faringdon surgery. She has a particular interest in dermatology and small animal surgery having attended courses in advanced surgical techniques. Karen lives in the picturesque village of Buckland with her husband Richard, their two young sons and two cats.


JessicaJessica

Jessica, unlike the rest of the veterinary team, has always been a purely small animal vet. She is a Liverpool graduate and joined Danetree as a part-time vet in August 2002. Jess lives in Oxford with her husband, Ned, and their two young children. She has a particular interest in feline medicine and surgery and owns a mad young cat called Maisie.

 


Theresa

Theresa is a local lass and lives with her husband Neil and their two sons in Grove. She originally joined Danetree in 1987 as a trainee veterinary nurse. Her role within the practice changed in 1990 when she became first the farm animal receptionist then the Office manager. Theresa took 5 months off in 1997 to have her first son Josh and six years later took another short break to have her second son, Oli.

Imogen

ImogenImogen is Head Nurse at the Wantage practice and has been with the practice since November 1997. Originally from the beautiful local village of Uffington she began as a Saturday girl then joined us full time in August 1999 to start her veterinary nurse training. Imo qualified in August 2002 and her interests within the practice are laboratory work, physiotherapy, radiography, theatre work and marketing. She is currently living in Wantage where she enjoys socialising with her many friends, driving her customised Peugeot 106 and walking her lurcher, Archie on the Ridgeway.

Cate

CateCate has worked for Danetree for several years, initially being employed on a temporary basis and later becoming a full time member of staff and qualifying as a veterinary nurse. She took some time out after having a baby but rejoined the practice in 2003 as a part time receptionist. Cate was born and brought up in Wantage and continues to live there, now with husband Pete and son Adam. She lists ‘toddler taming’ as her main out of work activity.

 

Katie

KatieKatie has wanted to work at Danetree for as long as she can remember and finally succeeded in October 2005.  She has always loved animals and has had all sorts, ranging from chickens to guinea pigs, which she used to breed.  Katie lives in West Challow and currently has a rabbit called Cassie, a cat called Stitch, a neurotic old greyhound called Laddie, a mad jack russell called Buzz and a ball obsessed collie x called Jake.  All of them are rescued.  Katie enjoys doing agility with Buzz and Jake and taking them for long walks.
